Founded in 1937, Camp Laurelwood is a coeducational camp designed for
children between the ages of 7 and 15. It is nestled in the heart of Madison,
Connecticut. Laurelwood's 140 acres provide a setting for young people
to develop skills that will serve them well into their adult lives. Laurelwood
is based on the philosophy that every child deserves a valuable and meaningful
camping experience and Laurelwood's family atmosphere helps to achieve

Ezra Academy is a Solomon Schecter Day School in Woodbridge, affiliated

JFACT is the government affairs arm of the Jewish Federation system in Connecticut, representing 9 Jewish Federations, 4 Jewish community centers, 6 Jewish Family services, and 3 Jewish nursing homes, lobbying for legislation that is of importance to Connecticut's Jewish community of 130,000. JFACT coordinates several statewide and regional programs, including the Russian Resettlement program and Partnership 2000, a program that links Jewish communities in southern New England with Afula/Gilboa, Israel. The partnership aims to fulfill mutual needs of both communities with several projects including young emissaries, teacher exchanges, and promotion of Arab/Jewish coexistence in our partnership region. JFACT also works closely with the Connecticut Israel Exchange Commission (CONNIX) to foster increased trade, cultural and educational interchange between Connecticut and Israel.
