Author Talk:
Allen Ruff is a former bartender, currently a book seller, cab driver, story teller and political activist. He holds a Ph.D. in US History from the University of Wisconsin and has previously published several book-length histories, and numerous journalistic pieces. This is his first novel.

A talented raconteur, he inherited that skill from some of the real New Haven characters, now the inspiration for Save Me, Julie Kogon. He book portrays four generations of a Jewish family coping with life in the Legion Ave/Oak Street neighborhood of New Haven. He currently calls Madison, Wisconsin home.
