Job Title: Development Associate
Reports to: Chief Development Officer
Location: JCC of Greater New Haven

The Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven is seeking a networking powerhouse interested in fundraising and non profit work to support the Federation and the JCC of Greater New Haven. This important member of our Development team will play an integral part in pushing existing fundraising campaigns and stewarding potential donors and sponsors through out the year. Our ideal candidate is a driven and creative self starter with the ability to solicit warm and cold leads.

Job Summary:

The Development Associate will play a key role in supporting the fundraising efforts of the JCC of Greater New Haven. This individual will be responsible for identifying and securing corporate sponsorships, building partnerships with community businesses, and ensuring alignment with the JCC's mission. Additionally, the Development Associate will assist in planning donor events, managing sponsor relationships, and supporting the Chief Development Officer and broader development team in their initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Sponsorships & Partnerships: Identify, cultivate, and secure corporate sponsors that align with the JCC's mission and values. Build and maintain relationships with community businesses to support fundraising efforts.
  • Donor Events: Plan and execute donor events, including securing sponsorships, managing event logistics, and ensuring a successful experience for all participants.
  • Team Support: Assist the Chief Development Officer and development team with various initiatives, including administrative tasks, event planning, and community outreach.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM system, track contributions, and ensure effective communication with sponsors and donors.
  • Donor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for donors, addressing any issues or concerns and ensuring exceptional donor service.
  • Event Participation: Provide professional support for development-related events, including those occurring outside regular work hours.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or event planning preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Conditions:

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
