Congregation Mishkan Israel is proud to announce its annual Cantors Concert on Sunday, June 1. The featured performers for this special event are Gerard Edery & Peninnah Schram. Gerard and Peninnah have been performing together for 20 years to enthusiastic audiences at Jewish Festivals, Synagogues, Jewish Community Centers, storytelling festivals and concert series worldwide. They will be presenting “The Minstrel and The Storyteller.” In this dynamic collaboration, Peninnah and Gerard interweave Sephardic, Hebrew, Judeo-Arabic, Hasidic, and original songs with beloved Jewish folk-tales.
