We’ll have a kumsitz in the BEKI courtyard on July 21, with a rain date Thursday, July 22. Kumsitz just means to “come” and “sit.” We’ll sing around a campfire, an event especially suited to anyone nostalgic for summer camp! All ages are welcome. We’ll sing niggunim—which have no words—as well as traditional American songs and Jewish songs. We’ll use the song list that Max Duboff prepared for Lag BaOmer, when we were rained out. Max also recorded each selection: https://www.beki.org/resources/lag-baomer-kumsitz. We’ll have paper song sheets or can use our cell phones to read the lyrics.
