Rosh Hashanah is considered the birthday of the world. To prepare us for this celebration of creation, Bruce Spierer, the Public Education Manager at the Jewish environmental organization Hazon, will lead a nature walk for all ages at Edgewood Park. In addition to observing local ecology, we will weave Torah into our relationship with the natural world and practice reconnecting with our fellow creations. Meet at the gazebo at the corner of Whalley Avenue and West Rock. Dress for the weather, but we’ll cancel if there is a downpour. Binoculars welcome.

Please note that all events offered by the Jewish Federation, Foundation, and JCC of Greater New Haven may include photography. Photos taken at events may be used in our social media, websites, and in print materials to support the objectives of our organizations and to promote future events.  We respect our patrons' privacy. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know at the event registration and welcome desk.
