Joanne Samuel Goldblum and her co-author, Colleen Shaddox will discuss their new book, Broke in America: Seeing, Understanding and Ending U.S. Poverty. While 40% of people in the U.S. don’t have the resources for the most basic needs for survival—water, food, and housing, the book argues that with key policy changes, we could eradicate poverty in this country within our lifetime.
