Max DuBoff, co-chair of BEKI’s Ritual Committee and a PhD student in Classics and Philosophy at Yale, will speak about Christian Kabbalists of 17th Century Europe. Some European Christians, he explains, became interested in Kabbalah to address puzzles about the nature of God and creation. In his presentation, Max will teach us about Kabbalistic metaphysics and will explore some of the ways it has influenced Jews and non-Jews through the ages.
