BEKI’s traditional Eicha service will be held Saturday night, Aug. 2, starting at 9:15 pm with maariv. (The fast begins at 8:07 pm.)
Tisha BeAv shacharit on Sunday, Aug. 3 will be at 9 am as usual and will include Eicha. Three presentations will follow. At 10:30 am, Bruce Spierer will speak on “Acceptance, Grief, and the Possibility for Renewal: Tisha B'Av as a Spiritual Practice.” At 11:15 am, Jay Sokolow will present “The Talmud’s account of the root of destruction—Kamtza and Bar Kamtza.” Then at noon Steven Fraade will speak on Rabbinic responses to the destruction of the second temple.
Sunday minchah on Aug. 3 will be at 5:45 pm as usual.
