 ry. The program will begin with the festival evening service at 8 pm in th
 e sanctuary. The first shiur is at 8:30 pm with Nanette Stahl\, Yale’s J
 oseph and Ceil Mazer Librarian for Judaic Studies. Her topic is "Jonathan 
 and David in the Book of Samuel: a study of political power in the Bible."
  The shiur will include a close reading of the texts in Samuel that introd
