However, Ruth will still be coming to New Haven and will be speaking at a lunch session at 12:00 pm at the Slifka Center at Yale about her book and her family story. Join us at the JCC as we welcome author and anthropologist Dr. Ruth Behar to share insights from her book, Traveling Heavy: A Memoir in Between Journeys. Ruth will share about the complex nature of identity, bringing in stories from her Yiddish-Sephardic-Cuban-American family and how this upbringing led her into a life as a Cultural Anthropologist.

This program is part of our Celebration of Jewish Latin & Ladino Life in Greater New Haven.
