On Monday, October 16th, at 10am at the JCC of Greater New Haven in the Vine Auditorium, author Nicholas Dawidoff will speak about his book, "The Other Side of Prospect."

The Other Side of the Prospect is an immersive portrait of a seminal community in our own city of New Haven, now besetby division and gun violence. Tracing the lives of three people whose lives meet in tragedy, the book describes optimistic
families coming north from South Carolina as part of the Great Migration, with the promise of opportunity and upward 
mobility, and facing the harrowing costs of deindustrialization and neglect.
