JCC of Greater New Haven invites you to celebrate Sukkot with Pizza in the Hut! Join us Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 6-7 PM for a BYOB pizza dinner under the sukkah on the JCC's back terrace, featuring kosher pizzas from Edge of the Woods Market. Share your New Year’s resolutions, exchange business cards, and meet your neighbors!

Then, stick around (or come at 7 PM) for a FREE dessert discussion on food sustainability and sourcing in the New Haven Jewish community, led by Ilana Braverman from Farm Forward and the Jewish Initiative for Animals (JIFA). (NOTE: You do not need to attend the paid pizza party to attend the FREE dessert discussion afterwards.)

During a guided conversation, we will ask questions, share our experiences, and brainstorm with fellow participants about ways to use different approaches to serve more plant-forward menus and higher welfare animal products in our respective communities. This conversation will give you a better understanding of sustainable food sourcing and strategies, teach you how to talk with your dining operations manager or caterer, and engage us in a discussion around how this process applies to you and your institution and aligns with other commitments, such as the Hazon Seal of Sustainability.

Co-sponsored by jHaven and the Center for Jewish Life & Learning (CJLL).
