Plan ahead for Purim! The Rimmonim (New Haven) Chapter of the Pomegranate Guild of Judaic Needlework, presents a Costuming Presentation and Workshop by Sharon Naveh, member of the International Costumers’ Guild, in the Library/Beit Midrash at BEKI. The first part of the program, the PowerPoint Presentation, will cover historical period clothing, traditional ethnic dress, science fiction & fantasy costumes, and, of course, Purim costumes. In the second part of the program, a hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to make simple felt Purim costumes. The presentation is free and open to everyone. The hands-on workshop is open to everyone and costs $5 for Pomegranate members and $10 for non-members. (Annual dues for Pomegranate membership: $36.) RSVPs are required for the workshop (by noon on November 4th) and recommended for the presentation. To RSVP, please contact Sue Honeyman at thewordhive@gmail.com or leave a message at 203-397-9233.
