Rabbi Hanan Schlesinger, who spoke at BEKI in 2018, returns, this time with colleague Noor Awad from Shorashim/Judur/Roots.

Rabbi Schlesinger will present the d'var Torah and will be joined by Mr. Awad for a Shabbat Schmooze at 12:45 after Kiddush lunch. They’ll share stories about their work for this Israeli/Palestinian grassroots initiative for understanding, nonviolence and transformation. Through direct human contact, deep listening and recognition of the other’s history and experience, Shorashim seeks to transform enemies into partners.
