The Chapters of Our Ancestors is a section of the Mishnah (first part of the Talmud) which offers ethical insights from the key teachers and rabbinic authorities between 200 BCE and 100 CE. These powerful aphorisms transcend time in offering to us a moral compass for our present day experiences. Monthly, we will have a chance to explore this text through lively discussions. The class, facilitated by Rabbi Hesch Sommer, will meet on Thursdays from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm at the Jewish Federation Shoreline Office (705 Boston Post Road, Guilford). For more information, please contact Jill Lesage, Federation Shoreline Program Coordinator, (203) 738-0033 or Rabbi Sommer (203) 389-5599, ext. 117
