Temple Beth Tikvah's Shabbat Service focuses on welcoming the Syrian refugees to Connecticut. Chris George, Executive Director of (IRIS) Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services - a New Haven-based refugee resettlement agency will lead the discussion. He will answer the questions, "How does the refugee resettlement program work?" and "Why has our most noble national tradition become controversial?"

The First Church of Guilford, TBT's partner in sponsoring a Syrian refugee family, will join TBT at this service and
Reverend Sarah Verasco will join Rabbi Stacy Offner on the bimah. Open to the public. The service starts at 7:15 p.m. Everyone is invited to an Oneg after the service.
