Screenings of all-time Yiddish cinema greats: Cantor's Son, Tevye Mamele, Bar Mitzvah.
Keynote speech by long-time Village Voice film critic and author of "Bridge of Light", J. Hoberman
Receptions on both nights.

Saturday, October 17th

7:30 pm Opening remarks, followed by screening of The Cantor’s Son (USA, 1937, 35mm)
9:30 pm Reception

Sunday, October 18th

10:00 am Bagel Breakfast
10:30 am Screening of I Want to Be a Boarder (1937, 15 min.) followed by Tevye  (1939, 35mm)
12:30 pm Lunch
1:30 pm Screening of A Cantor on Trial (1931, 10 min.) followed by Bar Mitzvah (1937)
3:15 pm Coffee and cookies
3:30 pm Screening of Mamele (Poland, 1938, DCP)
5:30 pm Coffee and cookies
5:45 pm Keynote speech, J. Hoberman
6:45 pm Closing Reception
