Yom Hazikaron begins Monday, April 20, 2026 at sundown
Yom Ha'Atzmaut follows Tuesday, April 21, 2026 beginning at sundown
Each spring, Jewish communities around the world observe the Yamim: two modern Israeli holidays that are designed to be experienced together.
Yom Hazikaron is Israel’s Memorial Day, a time to remember those who gave their lives in defense of the State of Israel and victims of terror. It is a day of reflection, remembrance, and collective grief.
As it comes to a close, the tone shifts almost immediately into Yom Ha’Atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day—a celebration of resilience, renewal, and the realization of a long-held dream.
Together, these days hold both grief and joy, memory and hope. We invite you to join us in marking them as a community.
