A New Chapter for Cabinet Alumni: Welcoming Haley Trager and Mitch Sterling

National Young Leadership Cabinet’s Alumni network is entering an exciting new chapter as Haley Trager and Mitch Sterling step up as Co-Chairs of Cabinet Alumni.

Together, they will lead and support a growing network of more than 4,350 Cabinet Alumni leaders who shape Jewish communal leadership locally, nationally, and globally.

Haley and Mitch follow extraordinary leaders who established and continue to strengthen the Cabinet Alumni initiative, including founding Chairs Rachel Hoffer and Adam Miller, and outgoing Chairs Shelly Kupfer and Dan Friedman, who laid the strategic groundwork for the next phase of growth and impact.

Aligned with the Cabinet Alumni strategic plan and the broader vision of Jewish Federations of North America’s Lay Leadership Development Department, this next chapter will focus on:

  • Strengthening the lay leadership pipeline

  • Preparing Alumni for senior leadership and philanthropic impact in their local community, across North America, and globally

  • Creating meaningful opportunities for connection and re-engagement, across life stages

More than an Alumni network, Cabinet Alumni serve as the engine for leadership across the Federation system.

“I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter of Cabinet Alumni leadership. It has been a privilege to work alongside Dan and Shelly over the past two years, and now to see Haley and Mitch step in to bring that vision to life,” said Alona Levine, Jewish Federations of North America’s Cabinet Alumni Director. “Together with our local Federation professionals and leaders, we have a tremendous opportunity to strengthen engagement and drive impact across the system”.
