The needs of 500,000 remaining Holocaust survivors were the focus of an international conference where Federation staff joined representatives from 39 countries in Prague last week. The United States is a global leader on the issue, in part thanks to Federation support that helped to secure $2.5 million federal funding and the appointment of the White House Special Envoy for U.S. Holocaust Survivor Services, Aviva Sufian.
