Everyone Counts…No Matter Where You Are, What You Have

There may be differences among us and our circumstances vary, but when a child is hungry, a family needs financial help, a Jewish education is desired, a senior needs transportation or a home-cooked meal, we respond. Near or far, the needs are great and we can help. Federation replaces despair with dignity, offers hope, and creates a safer environment for all.

Through Jewish camps, Birthright and PJ Library books, the next generation is learning and connecting. This fortifies our legacy while knowledge and understanding promote kindness, acceptance and compassion in society.

Around the world, Federation is at work, strengthening Jewish life and offering comfort and support to the most vulnerable. Whether it’s basic needs such as food, clothing, medication, or just someone to talk to, Federation is there to give families what they need in times of crisis because we believe everyone counts. Your contribution to the annual campaign enables us to meet the needs of people in all situations, locally and around the world.

We hear stories daily about the impact we are making in the lives of others through, for example, the Jewish Agency for Israel. Tatiana, a graduate of the JAFI Summer Camps and Counselor Training Program says, “My first experience in the Jewish Agency summer camp was when I was 12 years old. This experience changed my life. Not only did I come back to camp year after year, camp truly inspired me to get involved in the local Jewish community. Now as the Director of the Hillel Center in Kiev, I’m the one who is helping students, those who have no experience in Jewish life, enter the Jewish world.” Your dollars equal impact.

Our 2018 campaign has begun. Our local agencies are counting on all of us. Our Jewish friends in more than 70 other countries are hopeful they can continue to depend on us.

The needs are great, perhaps greater now than ever before. Each one of us can make a difference because everyone counts.
