Henry J. Spencer Art Exhibit

The lobby of Beth El-Keser Israel [BEKI] has been transformed this spring into a bright landscape of butterflies, thanks to Woodbridge-based artist Henry J. Spencer’s exhibition, “Capturing Bialik’s Butterflies, Poet’s Voice Meets Camera’s Eye.” Spencer has created large digital inject images of Monarch butterflies on canvas, each surrounded by a few words from a Hebrew poem by Chaim Nachman Bialik.

Spencer will give an artist talk at 1:00 p.m. on May 6, which is free of charge and open to the public. Spencer’s exhibit is on display through July 9. BEKI is located at 85 Harrison Street, New Haven.
