Dear JCC Members,
The news about the spread of Coronavirus across the nation has us concerned about the health of all of our members. We are writing to let you know that the JCC is closely monitoring the situation and partnering with local, state, and federal health officials, as well as JCC Association, to assess what, if any, impact there may be on our community, and how we can take a proactive approach to deal with this challenge. As always, our top priority is the safety and well-being of our members and staff.
We hope that you think of the JCC as your second home and have taken steps to help you stay healthy while you are here.
Increased the number of times our cleaning personnel disinfects the facilities and focused them on “high-touch” areas like door handles, knobs, push bars and railings. The number of hand sanitizing stations has been tripled throughout the building to 30 Hand sanitizing stations have been added to all Beverly Levy Early Learning Center classrooms Tissues are available at each hand sanitizer. Best-practices signs are posted throughout our JCC, which include reminders for people to wash their hands with soap and water frequently, especially before eating and after using the bathroom, and washing for at least 20 seconds; covering their nose and mouth with their arms if sneezing or coughing; and staying home if sick
We are asking our members to follow the guidance below in an effort to keep our members, users and staff healthy.
Refrain using the JCC if you are experiencing fever, coughing or shortness of breath, or having difficulty breathing
Refrain from sending your children to early childhood education classes and/or youth programs if they exhibit the above symptoms of illness. Follow the CDC’s recommended preventative actions, including maintaining best practices by frequently washing your hands with soap and water, covering your nose or mouth with your arm if you sneeze or cough, and avoiding touching your face.
If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. We will continue to share information from local, state and federal officials as we receive it.
We thank you for your support and concern for everyone in our community.
Regards,
Jeff Sklarz
