Temple Beth David Announces Author-in-Residence Weekend

“Wow—incredible! An inspiration—absolutely gripping story everyone should hear.” — attendee, Charlotte S. Huck Children’s Literature Festival, Redlands, CA

Temple Beth David, 3 Main St, Cheshire, will hold its Author-in-Residence Weekend from Nov. 11-12 at the synagogue. The event is sponsored by TBD Connections along with TBD Education Fund and donors to adult education and the JCC of Greater New Haven.

Author (and Cheshire native) Marc Tyler Nobleman reveals secrets he uncovered and mysteries he solved while researching his books, “Boys of Steel: The Creators of Superman” and “Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-Creator of Batman,” one of which made history in two ways. Nobleman has been invited from Tanzania to Thailand to the TED stage to tell this real-life detective story, which stars Jewish creative pioneers.

Nobleman’s first presentation is set for Saturday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. The event is $18 per person. For tickets, RSVP to office@ tbdcheshire.org. On Sunday, Nov. 12, Nobleman comes to Temple Beth David’s Religious School for a talk just for their students.
