Thank you for signing NCJW & Mazon's Nutrition Assistance Petition

Dear Friend,

Thank you so much for adding your name and/or organization to the Jewish community statement in support of increased and expanded nutrition assistance in the midst of the coronavirus crisis. You joined more than 650 Jewish organizations and clergy calling on the Administration and Congress to work together to provide federal nutrition assistance for food insecure Americans during this unprecedented time. The statement was sent to all 535 members of Congress as well as the US Departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services, and the Administration for Community Living. Please find a final copy of the letter here. If you haven’t yet, please consider sharing from your organization using this Facebook post.

While we are heartened that the Families First Coronavirus Response Act passed and is now signed by the president, nutrition assistance continues to be a critical issue for those facing poverty and food insecurity in this country — and of course even more so at this moment. With that in mind, NCJW and Mazon have also created a petition for individuals urging governors and all policymakers to increase and expand nutrition assistance for all those struggling with food insecurity in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. We hope you will consider signing on to this as individuals and to share in your network.  You can sign here through NCJW or here through Mazon.

Jewish tradition shares we are all responsible for one another. Sign the petition to call on our governors and all policymakers to show leadership and compassion and increase and expand nutrition assistance for all those struggling with food insecurity in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis at https://www.ncjw.org/act/action/mazon-ncjw-covid-19-response-petition-increase-expand-nutrition-benefits/
