Yale Honors Silk for Human Rights Advocacy

Silk, 70, of New Haven, was honored recently as the first Binger Clinical Professor of Human Rights at Yale Law School, where he teaches at the Allard K. Lowenstein International Human Rights Clinic. He is also the Director of the Orville H. Schell, Jr. Center for International Human Rights. The dean of Yale Law School said that Silk is considered the “dean of clinical human rights work in the U.S.” Silk is also the husband of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven’s Refugee Settlement Coordinator Jean Silk.
